Nissan Navara D40 - Navara D40 No side & headlamp but have full beam - Stanthedog

Hi
I'm a bit confused, on my d40 my front nearside headlamp is out but it works on full beam. The sidelight is also not working.

Is this a dual fillament bulb and is it likely that I simply need to replace the bulb to fix this or is it something more terminal or a fuse that needs replacing? The full beam works ok as do the indicators on the nearside. The offside is all fine and working correctly. Your help is appreciated as I need to drive north this evening and cannot do this without lights!

Obvious move is to try the bulb(s) before looking for something deeper.

Side and dip would likely be on different fuses anyway, so blown bulbs is the most likely cause. Dual filament bulbs usually blow the dip beam filament first as it gets more use. A blown sidelight bulb often goes unnoticed until the dip beam gives up, unless you specifically check it regularly, so it may well have been gone for a while.

I beleive that the dual filament dip bulb is an H4. Do you know what the side light bulb is ?

H4 is very likely.

No idea about the sidelight, it'll probably be some sort of 5w bulb. Assuming that there's no clue in the handbook, just pull the old one and take it into the shop with you for comparison.
