Hello,

can anyone shed any light on why my VW Phaeton is ticking as I drive along?

If I stand with my ear to the near side rear wheel it is quite loud. Is it the fuel pump? Rear passengers can hear it when driving at low speed.

Another suggestion from a friend is the rear heating/AC system working, should it have a loud tick on a vehicle like this?!

Can anyone give me some advice? One friend said just turn the radio up - NOT helpful!!

I had a strange ticking noise from the nearside rear when driving, turned out to be a nail in the back tyre, Found it flat the next moring !

Try jacking the wheel up and spinning the offending wheel may isolate the problem?

turn of the ac/heating and have a firend sit in the back and listen?

might even just be debris hanging up on the underside of the car?
