Sounds like there's a water leak into the interior. Can you feel any dampness in or under the carpets, or in the boot?

Have you got the heater controls on fresh air or recirculate?

I have it on recirculate

If it's on recirculate all the time, or even most, it will mist up.

I only use recirculate to keep out unwanted smells/fumes or sometimes to get a fast cabin warm up.

no all the carpets are very dry

While you're in the car, you're breathing out moist air. Every time you get in the car with damp shoes or wet clothes you're leaving moisture in the car.

The moisture's being recirculated around the car and getting more moist all the time. In short, you're the problem.

Put the heater controls to fresh air and high fan speed with the aircon turned on. After a few hundred miles you should see an improvement.

Let us know how you get on.

We have had this problem from new and have reached deadlock with Kia. As far as I am concerned it is a warranty issue, but they say they have checked everything and nothing is wrong. So we have a new-ish car which is a pain in the neck (condensation, mould on carpets) and a warranty which is meaningless. It is parked next to my 10 year old Rover every night which has none of these problems.

We won't be buying another Kia, and will probably have problems selling it.

As other posters have pointed out, if you keep the heater controls on "recirculate" ANY car will mist up, especially at this time of year.
