Citroen Saxo W reg 2000 - Head Gasket Repair Kits - happyhotspur

I have what I believe to be the start of a head gasket problem as it is seeping into the rad, very slightly. I have seen advertised a product called K-seal but does what it claims really work?

Snake oil, if the head gasket is starting to fail replacement is the only action, don't wast your money.

As set out in the website, kalimex.co.uk, K Seal is very effective, as I have experienced, for sealing coolant in when it (slightly) leaks from the cylinder head gasket outwards to the air, as it can sometimes do. When it is correctly mixed with coolant, the seal is made when the hot coolant mixture comes into contact with air as it leaks out. But as T Bird writes, if the leak is from the cylinder under high pressure into the coolant, the only sure way to fix it properly is "off with the head".

Do the sums. IF K seal does not work, it will not cost a fortune.

And if it does work, it saves you one.

Simple.

Radweld Plus, that's a proper product.

Stood the test of time, and has the testing to prove it. K-Seal has nothing.
