VW Chico 1995 1300 Engine - VW Chico Will not restart after driving - debi24011

vw chico. I drive my vehicle for about 20km and go into the shops. When I try to start my car again it will not start again. It needs about 1/2 hour to stand before it starts again. I have replaced the spark plugs, renewed carburetor base gasket, clean carburetor and it still will not start once I switch off the car. Please help?

I assume you mean that it turns over on the starter motor but doesn't fire?

Sounds like a vapour lock forming in the carb or fuel line. I take it that you are located in the southern hemisphere? Winter fuel will exacerbate this problem because it has a higher vapour pressure.
