Any - Not South Mymms Services - RaineMan

Tomorrow at around 10:00 I will be at the junction of the A1/M25. I think I will be feeling like a coffee and a bite at that time. The service area is both souless and expensive. Does anyone know of a good cafe nearby? I would rather pay the petrol to detour a few miles than pay for the overpriced stuff.

Just down the A1M is the Galleria which also manages to be both expensive and souless, but large and full of big coporate chains.

So if your into corporate anonymity as well as souless and boring just a little bit further down the A1m (next junction is a big Tesco's with restaurant / petrol etc.

This has the merit of being one of the VERY few Tesco petrol stations that sell LPG.

Sarf Mimms Service does NOT sell LPG (hiss boo...hiss) and as an LPG user that seriously miff's me.

Other than those..sorry not my area...come to luvverly 'sarfend on sea'..instead.

I can direct you to many nice places round there. My local stamping grounds!

Well I think I will give the Galleria a miss. I tried it once. They charged for parking on a Sunday and I was underwelmed by a CostaLotta in the back of the large bookshop. Will google some of the cafes on the map but really looking for a personal recommendation.

Ethan I will try and get over your way sometime. I had fantastic "Fish and Chips" in a cafe at Westcliff a few years ago!
