can any one tell me how to check if the injectors are working?

can i check the voltage whilst cranking? or how can i tell how much pressure is in the rail?

What is the problem ? There is acomon power feed to one pin of each injector then a pulse line that goes to ground for a short period. Idelly you need to borrow a 'noid' light, it fits in series with the injector and a small Led pulses when the injector is fired. Regards Peter

cheers peter,

the vehicle will not start it sounds like it is trying but will not fire up? the head was removed to replace a sticky valve and follower. the car broke down after the follower threw a rocker off and then bent the valve. the timing is all correct and all sensors are connected. i can get the thing started with easy start and everything sounds fine until the fuel runs out.that i why i am convinced that the injectors are not working. maybe the fuel pressure is not correct?

any help would be appreciated!!!! i am now stuck and starting to loose my hair!!!!!

Very specialist equipment is required to measure the pressure.

Bit of a coincidence for the pump to fail when the head was off. Are you sure the timing is right, it could be injecting on the wrong stroke. When you have been cranking a while and then you add easy start does it beltch out smoke from the unburnt deisel.

I'm not in deisels but I think there is a pressure sensor that can be read via the diagnostic connector, with the right kit that is.
