Peugeot 406 Coupe - Cat C Write off - lorraineb608

Looking for a bit of advice please.

My car was hit and cracked the bumper - 3rd party insurers have declared the car a write off - The car is totally driveable and have tax and mot- can we continue to drive it once they return it - do we need to contact anyone else to report this. The 3rd party are sending us a cheque for car value - scrappage as we asked for the car to be returned to us.

2nd question - 2 days after the above incident and before we had the car sent for repair by the above 3rd party another lady drove into the side of the car and again admitted liability. How do we stand re sending the car once we receive it back to get repaired by the 2nd 3rd party? Can we get a cat c write off repaired by this 3rd party and also it most likely be declared as a write off - can a car be declared as a write off twice?

Would appreciate any advice on this, from anyone who can?

Thanks

Local shopkeeper had car outside his door. car runs up the back - £1000 damage, 3rd parrty insurer offers to repair car at their preferred repairer.

Job delayed and another driver hits car again at same place as previous bump. AN other 3rd party insurer values damage at £1000.

Gets car fixed at local garage and gets 2 receipts for damages.

Sends of letter of complaint to insurer 1 complaining of their delays and enclosing receipt for £1000

Sends off receipt to insurer 2 for £1000

Both paid up in a week!
