i had one of these with the exact same set up but i never had any problems with it,to eliminate the switch just pop it out of its housing and as its only a 2 way switch just get a piece of wire and connect the 2 points ,,,if it works you know the switch is naffed, this will save you buying one only to find out its not at fault,,,other than that im not really electronically minded lol,,,,i know it obviously works off the fob when you lock the car down the mirrors should come in and vice versa when you unlock,,,dont think it can be lock related though as i know for a fact those cars have a safety feature and when you reach approx 30 mph the doors automatically lock down,,,introduced in the states because of all the drive by shootings and car jackings,,,,not very good if your in a crash and your cars on fire and other people are trying to get you out lol ,,,but thats the us car industry for you ,,,i used to just unlock mine as soon as they locked,,,anyway what im trying to get at is if it was lock related then surely they would come in when the safety feature kicks in,,,,so other than the switch all i can think of is maybe there is a pin somewhere in the doors that gets pushed in and out on door entry and its sticking,,,worth a shout if not the switch, mine never went wrong so i never noticed if there was something in the doors
