Clio 1.5dci 04 reg - Problem with lack of power on my Renault - musicbailey

Hi, I've got problems with my Clio losing power and becoming gutless after driving fine for a few miles. It's an intermittant problem as sometimes it's ok but when the problem occurs it's not just mildly, it's totally gutless. It's a turbo diesel engine.

When was it last serviced?

Modern diesels need a bit of tlc, these Renault Dci units have a habit of clogging up the EGR valve causing all sorts of problems, that should be your first job, clean the EGR valve.
