Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD - Intermittent cut out - misterb

A search of this site indicates that it is a common problem.

I'm not a techie and new to Newbury, so had to take my car to a recommended shop recently when it just would not start without any previous problems. The shop had it for two weeks and have not been able to solve the issue and they don't inspire much confidence. However, by the sound of it, it might be a difficult problem to solve.

Anyway, I now have the car back for a couple of days before I'm supposed to return it again so the shop can try some more. I thought I would dig around and this looks like a good place to come for a solution.

So now it starts, but cuts out intermittently; it will be at least once a trip whether it is a drive to Reading or popping up the street to buy milk. It cranks three or so times before it starts. And when it cuts out it just dies. After about 30 sec or so it will start again after cranking it several times.

After reading what the experts on this site had to say I tried the 3 key trick and it showed the following error code P1130

I looked for the ASD relay to swap, but could not find it (probably does not pertain to my model).

Any advice, suggestions in layman's terms will be much appreciated.
