Peugeot Expert - Peugeot expert hunting for fuel - kenny1978

My peugeot 1.9d non turbo 02 hunts for fuel when the engine is not under load,if sat at a connstant 50mph it lurches,its ok if accelerating,no smoke or engine management lights. Have changed the fuel filter and can't see any air bubbles in the fuel line, any help would be great thanks

Are you sure you dont have any air bubbles, do you have clear plastic pipe right up to the pump? Only it sounds like air ingress. I assume that its a Lucas pump but the Bosch pumps can leak air via the injector leak off pipes.

asuming no air leaks in fuel,poss leaking EGR valve, i would also get the engine hot and fill the diesel filter with injector cleaner, start back up and allow to tick over for 40 secs and switch off. leave overnight, put 2nd bottle of cleaner in tank and run around for a few days.

I used to come across quite a few pugs with simialr faults and often no more than gumed injectors
