Vectra 2005 1.9cdti - Removal of Alternator - vectacnut

Please could some help. With reference to a previous on alternator for my car i have managed to find a replacement part. But having trouble removing the old part. I have removed 2 out of the 3 bolts stated in my haynes manual but cannot locate the 3rd stated. There is supposed to be 1 lower front mounting bolt (i have removed this) and 2 rear upper mounting bolts. I can only find 1 of these which has been removed. I'm now at a loss to what to do next. All help will be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi,

Only 2 bolts removed and cannot find a 3rd. Position of alternator makes it difficult to spot any other bolts . No movement of Alternator but belt is still in place would that make a difference.

No the belt would make no difference you still have a bolt holding it in position.

I am not 100% certain but I think you have to get at it from underneath.

I do not think he can release the the pressure on the belt to remove it not until all the bolts are out.
