Renault Scenic 1.9 Diesel - Loosing Coolant - Lankylegs

I'm looking at buying a renault scenic but the seller say's it's just started to drip coolant somewhere near the bottom hose where it meets the water pump. Is this a big job to sort ? and what would I need to sort it ? or is it just best to stay away.

Damsel in distress :-)

May just be a hose but it could equally well be the water pump, not the end of the world but could be £200 -300. I would get someone to look at it for you and get the cost of repair knocked off the price.

RUN AWAY.

A Renault is a badly built, badly designed car.

A Renault diesel of that era is a KNOWN pile of junk (I could say what it really is but I would be banned).

A Renault diesel with a problem is not a car: it's a problem into which you pour money...

Read the HJ reviews.

I am deadly seriopus. DO NOT BUY iT. RUNA AWAY>

(People who buy Renaults with problems have no sense or are ignorant . They are all about to become MUCH poorer).
