Hi all,

I found clucth fluid leaking at the joint between the slave cylinder (iB5 transmission) and the connector fitted to the end of the hydraulic steel pipe. Haynes manual shows a photograph, in which an O ring is fitted to the connector. Anyone fixed this problem? Is the connector available as a separate item, will I have to buy the short steel pipe complete or could I replace the O ring only? Any suggestions most welcome.

Sorted,

New pipe, master cylinder to slave cylinder required from Ford, £39. As correctly suggested in an earlier Focus post, the leak was from a crack in then aluminium connector on the pipe that plugs into the slave cylinder, pity it's not available as a separate item.
