vauxhall corsa 1999 - mot test failure - doghead

my vauxhaul corsa v reg 1999 has failed its mot on

1/ emissions at idle excessive

2/ emissions after 2nd fast idle excessive

i cant afford to pay garage to sort it can anyone tell me what could be causing this

Your question is like finding a needle in a haystack, have you changed the oil put in new plugs a new air filter before the test you should then give it a good drive get it really warm before you take it down to test station and try again.
