Vauxhall Vectra C - Vauxhall Vectra C - Tyre Pressure Monitor - houstonceng

The tyre Pressure Monitoring System on my Vectra has started to indicate one tyre (Driver's side front) as losing pressure and brings up the warning on the displays, every time I drive it.

This happens shortly after each sensor has registered the actual pressure. Problem is that the tyre in question is the same pressure (plus or minus half a pound/sq inch) as the others and, definitely, isn't losing pressure..

Is this a fault with the wheel pressure sensor, the hub transponder or the central electronics ?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I tried an experiment.

I let about 4PSI out of each tyre and re-inflated them, in turn, using my large compressor and an accurate "garage type" tyre inflator/gauge.

Seems to have done the trick. Drove about 140 miles today and no false warning.

Why this worked is a mystery - but who cares
