Renault Laguna - Heater Problem - bluecowbill

Hi

The heater in my X Reg Diesel Laguna (with Air Con) has stopped working and when I go over 80mph for a stretch, the needle creeps up on the water temp gauge and I a red STOP light appears on the instrument panel, wth a red illuminated water temp gauge. If I drop down to 70mph the lights go off and the needle falls back to the middle.

What is the most likely cause of this problem ...? Blocked Heater Matrix ...?

1 Lack of coolant 2 Flush, clean out the cooling system and refill.

it sounds like a french version of the system fitted to our company VW cars.

if you travel over 75mph a warning appears telling you to slow down.....

I remember Jenson Button (F1 driver) on Top Gear. talking about his latest privately owned sports car....Clarkson said,,,,"what have you had it up to..." the reply was "errrr.....70"
