03 1.4 Key/Remote Unlocking - wazmitch
Hi All,
Once again, looking for some advice......what do i need to do to get my daughters car changed from using the key manually for locking/unlocking and to change to remote entry.
We have the 2 keys (blue tip, non remote) so would it be as simple as buying the remotes and getting new blades cut then re-programming? How difficult to programme....can i do it myself?

Not so simple,I'afaid.If the car has a key hole in both front doors then the car left the factory with no remote facility.Cars with remote locking have key access only in drivers door.The best option is to add an aftermarket keyless entry module which are usually supplied with 2 remote fobs.These units need to be wired into the c/d/locking system ,so you will need to find somebody to fit it for you.I guess there is a car alarm fitting shop nearby.hth
