Overnight Weekend Parking in Cardiff Help Please - mr.freezer
My wife and I are going to Cardiff for the Wales v Scotland rugby international in February.

We are booked into a central hotel that does not supply a parking space.

As an alternative to dumping the car in a NCP for 2 days are their any nice suburban streets nearby to abandon it in with easy access to get back into town ?

We get down on the Friday afternoon and will leave Sunday AM (or PM depending on the result.... AM it is then)

Parking anywhere close to Cardiff centre for free is difficult - a lot of the streets are residents only zones. IIRC one which isn't is Richmond Road - it's a busy bus route and a 10 minute walk to the centre - or catch one of the many buses.

There's a park and ride just off the A48 at Cardiff Gate - worth a call to see if overnight parking is permitted.

BTW how do you pronounce Alba? Is it something like 'Alapa'? In the Gaelic, of course.

Wales and Scotland? Don't care. I can sit back and enjoy the game and not be bothered about the result.

I support the nation that plays in the town where I was born.

No probs - if you need any more info on the city let me know. I can recommend plenty of pubs.

Chips on Caroline Street is a right of passage for anyone visiting Cardiff - but you must go after midnight on a match day!
