09 1.5 Flywheel question and a negative note. - billaboard
OK, so I'm still trying to decide what sort of low running cost car to move to, and the Nissan Note is still on my list, just, after the lack of response to my question about spare wheels led to a further visit to the dealer to measure.

He and I decided that a proper spare won't fit. What a crass design decision.

I'm also looking, as a complete alternative, at auto diesel Skodas, but have been put off by their weird auto gearboxes and dual mass flywheels. Can anyone tell me whether the current diesel Note has a dual mass flywheel?

Very grateful for any reply, as I'm finding real information about current cars quite hard to come by.

How often do you drive on the spare wheel? when I get a puncture I drive to the nearest garage within 24 hours- I'd rather have the extra space in the boot myself!

I have used a spare wheel once in 20 years so quite happy with a spacesaver.

Only old grumps want spare wheels today in my opinion.....:-)
