Honda Accord 1850 auto - in reverse, gradually slows to a halt with the engine racing and no drive. Putting it back into neutral and then reverse again gives you another "go". Even in the handbook there is a section where wording vaguely suggests that occasionally it may not select reverse properly and going to neutral then reverse again will sort. This started off being a problem reversing uphill but now affects level reversing. Car is serviced correctly and no faults are evident to the garage.

Thanks Falkirk Bairn, I guess that's why it also feels more sluggish than 2 years ago and means the torque convertor is gradually failing......
