Rosey has had a new car but what is it ??? Black and a very curvaceous body - the car that is. Not that I watch you understand.

I don't watch it or any of the soaps. But in the "real world" would someone not into cars buy something so obscure?

Not that I watch it but the dreadfully wicked Rosey (my spelling is meant to sound like the pronunciation used in the show) has come into some ill-gotten money by some way or other and has bought a knicker factory and these set of wheels. In real life she would be in a blinged up three series a Rangie or X5. I thought it was a Karmann Ghia replica of sorts. Checking your llnk the dashboard is lovely !

Circa £24K IIRC, you could buy an original MG TA for that and it wouldn't depreciate as much.

Surely the PGO Cevennes is a re-creation (if that's the right word) of a Porsche 356 of the 1950s and early 1960s - precursor of the 911. I had a toy remote-control Porsche a a child just like that!

PGO say they base their cars on a classic shape so you couldn't expect anything other than a French engine in a car built with the help of regional development cash. When I left France in April they were laying staff off at the factory because the recession was hitting orders which is a shame as it is nice to see independents succeed. However, would I pay nearly £30K for a 356 derivative when just over £20K buys a new Chevron B1 of equally classic looks and a strong British connection? Closer to Coronation Street as well for those inevitable breakdowns from a handbuilt car.
