02 2.0 HDi Turbo knocking/ Rattling Noise Low Down - m14esk
Hi me yet again had loads of fap problems end of last year/ early this ended up have the cat/ Fap replaced at a large cost. Now noticed a very strange noise coming from low down in the engine quite hard to discribe as diesels are noisey but it is a loud knocking constant noise which can be head over the engine seems quite low down in the engine any ideas??? please help the car is defo being sold after this i have had enough the replacement cat was only done a couple of weeks ago.

Almost certainly the crankshaft pulley which fails after c 70k miles..
