I have just bought a new tyre pressure sensor for my Peugeot 407. It is due for a service soon and I want to know if a normal tyre fitting company can fit the sensor to the wheel. The garage I use is going to programme it to the car computer.

Yes they can fit it but they have to be very careful

I have had my car in for a service and requested that the new tyre pressure sensor be fitted to the wheel. I have been told that there is a part missing from the sensor and the fitter was unable to fit it to the wheel and make a seal. The only thing in the box (unopened when bought) was the sensor and valve cap. Does anybody know what else there is supposed to be. The sensor itself has a rubber washer around the base which, I assume creates the seal. I would be interested to see a schematic of the sensor if anybody knows where I can find one. T.I.A
