Yesterday, A colleague was questioning me whether I drove mostly alone, or with my wife in the car.
When I asked why, it transpires that he has just had his Golf (Y reg) serviced and the offside front tyre was considerably worn in comparison to the other three. The dealer told him...
it was because he drove alone most of the time therefore there is more weight on that tyre.
That's just brilliant, can anyone top that?

...or that he drives where there are a lot of mini roundabouts and he straightens them out?

Just another very good reason why not to buy from UK dealers.

My local FOrd dealers don't bother with many excuses anymore, I just get told that they all do that! But the offside tyre shouldn't wear first should it? I was told it's always the front nearside that's gonna quickest 'cos of the roundabouts?
