The engine misfires when cold, i.e. first thing in the morning and when driving away at night. The fault will clear within 20 seconds or so.
There are no fault codes, and according to live data the fuel delivery rate increases as it misses (basically I think the ECU is trying to compensate). When hot it's fine.
P.S. could this have anything to do with the rev holding/rising to 1500rpm problem?
Mine is the same 1.7dti astra x reg -
completely undriveable when cold, leave it running for a minute and its fine in summer, in winter needs to be left running for ten minutes before it will rev.
Has anyone else had this problem and knows a solution?
I don't come on this forum much now so didn't read reply, though to anyone reading this the problem was found to be linked to a dodgy fuel injection ECU which subsequently died a few days after I opened the read.
Problem is now with wife's Corsa, but that lasts a good few minutes. I think it might be an injector issue, but we'll see.
