I sent Mitsubishi this question:

"The manual says use "DIA Queen ATF SP3".
I can't find any of this, is there a Dexron or other equivalent please?"

Their answer was:
"Unfortunately there is no equivalent, Only DIA Queen ATF SP3 can be used".

I expectd this answer, is it true? The dealer says they use "Texamatic 75/45", I can but 7.8 litres for £59.21(!) and I've to take my own can to fill.

Can't find anything relevant on the net except that the Texamatic's £18/litre.

Yes, you need the right stuff, or something that conforms to the spec. Don't use anything that says 'suitable for', 'meets all major oe specs' etc.

You can try the hyundai or kia dealers, but will probably find its the same price.
