00 2.0 knocking noise - daz-kbf
about 6 months ago i had a lot of play in my steering so i had it replaced, i also had the front wishbones replaced at the same time. Everything was good for a month or so then i started to get a slight knock from the front of the car. Took the car to 2 different garages and they could hear and feel the knock through the steering wheel but could find nothing wrong.

So 5 months later and the knocking has gotten worse. You can feel the knocking through the steering wheel and seems to be as though its coming from the front passenger side wheel area.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem as im supposed to be driving to dorset on friday night and im not looking forward to it in the cars present state. I looked on here and wondered if it is the what some people have said on other threads, strut top bushes, drop links ?

hope some one can help, its driving me crazy

a common fault with these cars are the antirollbar drop links. try moving antirollbar up-down check for free play in balljoints.
