2000 2.0 centre console display - cbmilly
My hdi 90 estate in L spec seems to have lost power to the centre console display: strangely the text is only very faintly visible in daylight and invisible in the dark (that is with the ignition on). The radio/cd is working. I cannot remember if the appearance of this fault coincided, or not, with illumination of the engine management warning light which has been on for the last 3000 miles (holiday motoring). Does anyone have any thoughts on the remedy of the console display. Cheers cbmilly

2000 2.0 centre console display - 406xsara
The display is usually illuminated by 3 bulbs behind it.
Remove the plastic covers at each side and there are hex screws to remove the display (non-sat. nav. version).
There are 3 bulbs in the back. Turn each to release and replace.
