Peugeot 406 (1999 - 2004) - 02 2.0 HDI LS Rear Fog Light

02 2.0 HDI LS Rear Fog Light - Whisky
More of a question then a problem (yet), does anyone know if these cars have 1 rear fog light or 2? Its booked in for an MOT tomorrow and whilst testing last night the girlfriend claims she "thought" it had 2 then the left hand one went out. However she is not a reliable source.

On inspection there is a bulb present and there is no visual difference between that and the drivers side fitting. Fuse operates both lights and changing the bulb has no effect which has led me to believe maybe it only has one. Anyone know for sure? Thanks

Not sure about your Pug 406, but most cars these days only have one working foglight, but both are wired up as at the time of assembly they don't know what country the car is heading to until later on down the production line.

Won't fail with only one fog light working (providing it is the offside one that is working)

"The inspection of rear fog lamps is confined to the one rear fog lamp which is required to be fitted to the centre or offside of vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1980."
