99 2.0 Temp sensor issue - southview
Hi all,

I have a 99 2.0 cabrio. The temp warning light comes up on my dash after about 5mins of driving. The needle sits around 90 on the dial, coolant level is fine and the car performs fine. I've replaced the temp sensor that fits on the top of the hose going into the engine housing, as read this was simple and usually the issue, but light is still coming on. Have changed the coolant mix as well, but now at the limit of my capabilities. Are there any other sensors worth trying? Is there one in the coolant bottle that would trigger this light?

One more thought, this started happening just after I got the speedo replaced due to it failing.

any thoughts appreciated.
