1993 1.7 Turbo diesel - changing the water pump - joe's
I've been quoted £185 by an independant garage to supply and fit a new water pump to my Isuzu engined cavalier.
As the local motorfactors can sell me a new water pump for £23, I've decided to do the job myself. It seems an easy job in the Haynes manual and my question is am I missing something that warrants the hefty quote by the garage? I would think it should take me a couple of hours.
Thanks for any advice.

no you are not missing anything, fairly straight forward, just make sure that you have the correct waterpump as if my memory serves me right there are three variations of pump, take your time, be methodical, take pictures if you have to so you can refer back to them if ness, loosen pulley bolts before removing the belt and tighten the pully bolts when the belt is on
