01 1.6 petrol - wet weather misfire - mehstg
Hi - an issue I have with my Golf is in wet weather. On more than one occasion in wet weather I pull away, the car begins to jerk/misfire and then the engine (emissions) warning light comes on. For the rest of the journey it feels like the car isn't 'firing on all cylinders' and struggles to accelerate. The problem only goes away when the car is unused for a period of time (usually a few hours or overnight) to 'dry out'.

give the ignition leads, plugs & distributor cap a good spray with WD40.

Or better still replace them......
