Nissan Primera IV p12 (2002 - 2006) - 2002 1.8 se - abs fault

2002 1.8 se - abs fault - pualoc
Hi i,m new to this so here goes.The abs warning light comes on when the ignition is turned to the ready position and goes out.When the engine has been started the light comes on after a few minutes and stays on even though the car has not moved.I have managed to enter the on screen diagnostic display by pressing the info button and turning the radio volume knob clockwies until the display shows error history.This says there is a none functioning component,but i dont know if this relates to the abs system.I have checked the sensors on each wheel for dirt or damage but they seem fine.I dont know how to check if the sensors are working. Any thoughts would be very welcome . Thanks
