(98-04)1.7 dti power loss/misfire - carsmarco252
i have a 1.7dti van. the car runs fine when pottering around but when i accelerate harder such as to overtake or pull away from a junction when the revs build up it judders and seems to lose pulling power, when i ease off it seems to recover, sometimes when accelerating hard and i change gear and step on the accelerator again it does this, any ideas please?

Change the fuel filter; get the codes read and measure the vacuum available from the pump. Min 22in/Hg at idle.
