Im looking to buy a new Auris D4 D Sol as there are deals with discounts up to 20%. Seems that this car is a bit of a flop as you dont see many on the roads in Europe. Is there reliability problems ?
Seems the 308 isn't selling retail either, wonder if the price of these two is too high or is it that they are both incredibly ugly compared to the models they replaced.
They look too similar to the cars they replaced, and don't show enough tangible improvements in other ways. VW seem to be able to evolve the Golf and improve it but still ensure that it's recognisable as a Golf. And the Mark V is in a different league for handling and steering response from the Mark IV.
I should say that I had a D4D Auris on a 2-day test drive and liked it a lot: if Toyota had offered an estate it would have been on the shortlist. You need the 2.0 diesel engine, not the 1.4.
Our honest used car pricing is a little bit different to all the others. You can get to our values through make or model - you don’t have to follow a prescribed route. Plus, it’s live, which means we can react to changes in the market quicker than any printed price guide.
