Lateral Ruts - bintang
Lateral ruts tend to develop at traffic lights. These try to seize the steering of my Skoda Fabia2 (2007) and try to take over the steering. I have not experienced this with any other of the many cars I have driven. What is likely to be wrong? If I ask the dealer, he will probably use the time-honoured forumula, "It is a characteristic of this model range".

Do you mean tramlining? What's the wheel/tyre combo?

What's the tyre size, make and type?

"Tramlining" sounds a good description. The tyres are Dunlop 195/55 8 5H on 16" wheels, all as supplied.

I find that grooves in the road at the approach to roundabouts causes most cars to wander, but not uncontrollably so.

Since this concerns handling- do any of you run the 1.9 diesel? My post on "hard ride" has not produced any responses-- so am I being paranoid when I feel that the ride is much harder than the much loved (and now sorely missed) old model? Help please before I sell it after two months!

I can only comment on the 1.9d Roomster. Ride for the class of car is nearly in the same parish as the 306 - nice soft and compliant with enough of sporty hardness to encourage fast driving. Certainly not hard or harsh.
