Nissan QX Maxima headlamp protectors - johncyprus
I have a 2001 QX A33 face lifted model and having seen HJ's Car- by- Car Breakdownby rang Nissan to check the price of the headlamps- £783 each ! I'm keen to get some plastic protectors but Nissan GB no longer stock them. I've emailed a few dealers in Australia where the QX was a big seller but have had no response. Does anybody know of an Nissan outlet which might have older Nissan parts or have any good ideas about sourcing these items?

I would have thought that Nissan UK would be able to order these from Japan for you. If they are listed in the EPC then a helpful dealer could order them.

Incidentally, I'm not sure whether the acrylic protectors should be fitted to the HID's - I know that on many HID's its not recommended to fit protectors due to the heat build up and intereference with cleaning.

EPC=Electronic parts catalogue. Nissan use an EPC called 'FAST'. Normally out of stock items can be obtained from Japan in 6-8 weeks, and about 2 weeks if urgent.
