I'm getting a Suzuki Ignis (1.3 GL 5-dr) 06 plate with 6500 miles for £5000 from Suzuki dealer.
The test drive was fine, like the driving and the car. Looks quite practical too. Especially I like the high driving position.
But looks like very few people actually own it (wondering why?)
I have googled some reviews on the internet, apart from low resale value no one said the car is bad in anyway. Also got 35th out of 152th position in Top Gear survey.
The feature seems good at this price. Interior is bit basic but I didn't expect much at this price.
My main concern is how reliable the car will be. I rarely do over 80 mph on motorways, so not too worried about high speed performance.

My old man nearly bought one for my mother - negotiations stalled when the Dealer said there was no sunroof option.........he then went out and bought a Fabia with no er...sunroof.

The still Mrs FT bought one. It was good. As you say, a little plain, but with some nice features. I enjoyed driving it from time to time. Nothing whatsoever went wrong with it. To make it look a little more interesting, we had those plactic strips stuck along the doors, which makes it look a lot less slab-sided.

Very sound little motors. Chain cam engine which is very reliable. I have not driven the 1.3, only the 1.5 4-grip (4WD). It feels slightly 'agricultural' and the steering is not as precise as I would like, but otherwise OK.
There are quite a few on the road in my part of the world - dealer is only a few miles away. They are out of production now, by the way.

My ex-boss has had one of these for two years now. He's delighted with it, says it's the most reliable car he has ever owned. It's my understanding that it's only needed servicing over its 30,000 miles.
