Coach in a hurry. - henry k

I observed a coach at lunchtime on the M40 north bound near Oxford, with a PL number plate and with a significant number of passengers on board.
Oh and it was in lane one travelling at an indicated 90mph. (The vehicle I was in has a reasonably accurate speedo ref TomTom etc.)
Is this a record speed or just very common? ( as I then saw another PL reg coach just a few miles ahead travelling close to that speed.

I think the PL says it all. I often see articulated lorries with PL plates in the outside lane of the M4. Especially if a IK HGV is overtaking another UK HGC and using up lanes 1 and 2.
