Missing V5

Missing V5 - Galad
Hi

A friend bought a brand new UK car from an internet company and took delivery nine months ago. However, although the vehicle was (and currently is) fully taxed and came via a franchised dealer my friend is still waiting to receive the original V5. Is there any reason for him to be concerned? The internet supplier has been informed today and is investigating. Out of curiosity, I tried to find the vehicle using its registration number on the DVLA website but they seem to have no record of it.

Correction - DVLA confirms the vehicle registration via its website (entered wrong number). Still odd that there's no sign of the V5 after 9 months though

it is quite possible that the royal mail have lost it, small odds but happens daily. shouldn't worry to much but would like to think the seller will pay the £19 application for the new v5
