Hi,
I have a new Ford Galaxy being delivered in a few days, which has the Ford 6006CD stereo system. I'm told that it has a "Portable Music Connection Socket", and wondered if anyone knows exactly what type of socket it has. I was thinking of getting an iPod Nano but want to confirm that I will be able to plug this in through the 6006CD.
Anyone any ideas ?
Cheers

Hi,
The Galaxy has a 3.5mm Aux in connector in the Glovebox. It's a small plastic hole in the housing and you could easily miss it. Any headphone jack will fit into it, leads cost a few quid from any elctrical retailer.

I got an S-Max at the end of March and am really pleased with it.
Good Luck.

PS - All Mp3 players, not just Ipods, will connect to the 3.5mm Aux in. The cable comes out of the headphone socket of the MP3/Ipod and then into the car.

Superb !
You info is MUCH appreciated.
I presume then that I'd just need a lead with an identical 3.5mm headphone jack on each end ?
Thanks for theowners club link too..
Just what I'd been looking for !
Thanks Again
