1995 Nissan Primera sunroof - Ppaul
Long story short...

...a stone has broken my sunroof!

My insurer's glass people don't repair them and none of the other companies I have called repair them either.

My insurer told me to take it to the dealer and claim the money back, but Nissan want getting on for £800 to replace it and this is more than the car is worth so my insurer won't authorise it.

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative. How easy is to remove one from a scrapyard and replace mine?

if you are fully comp and the cost is more than the cars worth then the car is a write off
however as they will pay out probably £500 its probably wiser to either tape up the hole with newspaper or fit a glass
sorry dont know how complicated this may be but this is what i would do in this situation
find a scrapyard where you can get lost
find the appropiate model
find how the roof comes out by any means necessary
remove said roof glass
use all knowledge to fit to yours (remembering to take as many clips screws and bolts as you took off in scrappy as they always come in handy
consider taking digi photos if it looks a dodgy bit
i seem to remember 95 primevels were built in japan and england check this and where yours was built (bulkhead) before buying wrong roof
