Corsa 04 Petrol, Engine Managment Light

Corsa 04 Petrol, Engine Managment Light - redviper
Hi

I dont have much info - but a freinds Vauxhall Corsa's what i gather to be the Engine Mangement light has come on the car has been repaired after a accident, the car proir to this had been serviced and MoT'd however she has been advised by the Garage that did the service that its nothing to do with them, but have advised that its the Air filter - Air flow Sensor???

The fault occured after, and since the car was repaired by a different garage (i assume Insurance company approved) and they again wont have anything do with it (also the Stereo does not work) although i dont know what they have advised the problem is, with the Engine managment light

I was inclined to say its the EGR Valve, (I beleive a common issue with Vauxhalls)

Anyone got Ideas

Refer the matter back to the insurance company - the repair to re-instate the car to it's pre-accident condition hasn't yet been completed.

If the engine management light is on, a fault code will be stored. Don't guess at faults, there are hundreds of possibilities.
