pay as you go insurance - milkyjoe
can you pay insurance like you pay your phone (pay as you go) for instance why shell out for 12 months insurance and then 6 weeks later you have to scrap an mot failure, would they reimburse you the unused period of insurance?

As far as I am aware you pay for the 12 months and if you cancel the policy they would reimburse you, altough not for the full remainder of time.

I saw somewhere recently that there is a sliding scale of percentages of what you would receive compared to how much time you have left to run. Can't remember where I saw it though.

Not sure if that make sense?...

Kind Regards

Haven't tried it but will certainly look at it for my station car when it comes up for renewal.

You won't get a full refund on a pro-rata basis. They'll retain a hefty amount for "admin costs".

It could be a good scheme for cars that arent used very often but I dont think it will suit me. I want something similar for my track car / weekend toy. Problem is it will charge me for driving it when its actually on a trailer being towed a couple hundred miles.
