Mondeo lights - Beaks
I have a 2005 Mondeo and I have recently changed from a Primera. I do not think the dipped beam to be very good and sometimes struggle a bit on country roads with the lack of distance. The headlight surrounds are clean. Is it worth just changing the bulbs ?? Are they really any brighter, if so can any recommend one ?? Thanks...

I assume you got the Headlight adjuster on the dash set to "0"?
My Mondeo mk3, not brilliant but much better than the Honda Civic I used to own.
Best to have the alignment checked, it is possible that the Primera may been slightly high or the Mondeo is slightly low.

My 2005 Mk3 Mondeo's headlights are very good, but my previous 2001 mk3 Mondeo's were very poor so I fitted some Phillips vision plus bulbs, which improved them, but they still were not as good as the previous cars I'd had. I checked the alignment and found that although the beam heights were ok, both headlights were pointing outwards slightly (boss-eyed), adjusting them in a little improved visibility vastly.

Mondeo lights aren't bad, but if you've come from a Primera with projector lenses I can understand why you think they are poor.

Philips now do some 80% brighter bulbs which are meant to be excellent, but they are difficult to find in stock at the moment. Ebay is probably your best bet.
