Hire car collection Barcelona - T Lucas
I,m collecting an Avis car from Barcelona airport (BCN)Friday evening.Does anyone know where the reception desk is,the collection area and is it worth me getting straight thru to the desk to avoid getting caught in a line with other passengers from the same flight?

There are two terminals at Barcelona. One for the flag airlines and the other for the lo-cost carriers. I can't remember if Avis has a desk in each, but I think they do.

When I am travelling as a 2some I go thru customs etc as fast as possible to get into the car hire queue, leaving the other person to get a trolley and the luggage. That said, Barca is probably so busy there will be a queue there all the time. My dodge tends to help at 10 flights a day type airports.

Just rememember to hang on to to the little map they give you of the local road network. The airport is unbelievably badly signposted from the motorway and in the city.

I have an exceptional sense of direction and it's the only place I've ever found myself totally frustrated by the road network and having built an extra hour into the journey to allow for a delay we only just made our flight.

No way,i will ONLY use Hertz/Avis or any other multi-national,from bitter experience.

Forgot to say,£224 all in for Astra 5 door sized car with 600 euro excess.Thats good enough for me.
