Car park - s61sw
Sat waiting for Mrs. S6 1SW in our local town centre car park (Council owned, but attached to a Co-op) and being bored, started reading the rules and regulations notice board... was surprised to see that vehicles over '1580kg' were prohibited. The quoted weight for my own car is 1400+kg, so I'm guessing that many of today's larger cars (E-class Merc or above) would fall foul of this rule. My guess is that the bye-law comes from years ago when cars were a lot less substantial than today. Would have thought any observant traffic warden could have a field day?

There's a similar rule in a local (Farnham) car park - but I've never seen it enforced. Many of the vehicles parkes there exceed the stated weight limit. How many owners know how much their cars weigh ?

I would think not too many, same goes for the traffic wardens too.

Must admit, I don't know how much traffic wardens weigh either.
