Hi all, am thinking about replacing my car with a new BMW coupe but the dealers are not to honest with when they are being introduced. Its the 320d I would like - anybody know of any links to give me a clue please?

I was browsing a 55 reg 3 series Coupe (E46) at the local dealer, they were emphatic it was current. Noted ot was poverty spec as well (A/C in lieu of climate and a perfectly horrid steering wheel) you think they'd chuck some extras at it to shift 'em.

Since the advent of the bangle designs, begining with the 7 series in 2000, the majority of people who express their opinions on fourms like this declare that they 'hate' the looks of each and every model. Yet, in the last five years BMW have increased their global output by almost 50%, and last year overtook Mercedes for the first time in hisotry (excluding MINI).
I wonder what we are to make of this expressions of opinion and actual sales?

I could be wrong, but is that not a Photoshop job? The more I look at it the more I think the image isn't genuine, it's also a shot of a convertible according to the caption, it also has the breaks in the roof line to support this.
I can't deny that I'm not that keen on the looks of whatever is in that photo, but I seriously suspect that it's a Photoshop job, look closely at the front grill and see what I mean.

Well, I have a friend with a new Three Series who doesn't like the look of it all. When I asked him why he chose it - especially as he pays a wedge on top of his contracted-out allowance towards it - his reply was simply "Because it's a BMW, why else?"
He truly feels he's now "arrived", with badge of office and all that, and is far from alone.
Well, whenever it's parked on our driveway I wish it was "departed" ;-)
